Users of the iPhone and iPad have already seen the new emojis for iOS 15. The list of emojis includes several new hand forms, a melting smiling face, a face with its eyes covered, a low battery, a disco ball, and more. Let’s find out about the new emojis for iOS 15 and how to download them in this article.
What New Emojis are Available With iOS 15?
Seven new faces are included in the novelties, including the melting face and the face with the peeping eye. You will also see hands that form a heart, a crown-wearing person, a troll, X-rays, a biting lip, a nest with and without eggs, and more.
A software upgrade for iPhone and iPad will make many of them accessible between the end of this year and early 2022. However, not all of them will be included in the Unicode Consortium Emoji 14.0 release. It appears that the plan has been tabled until April.
There will be a large number of new emojis, as shown in the graphic above. As has been the case for some time, the emojis also emphasise inclusivity of people of all races and genders. Six different skin tones of hands will be available as emojis, along with a gender-neutral figure wearing a crown who will join the Princess and Prince emojis. Regarding the hand emojis, some examples are a handshake and a heart with hands.
A pregnant woman and a pregnant man are also available as new emojis. The new emojis, however, also feature other objects, such as beans, a lotus flower, a slide, a lifebuoy, bubbles, a coral, a bird’s nest, a crutch, and an identity card.
Remember that iOS 15.0 was meant to include the new emojis, but because of the delay, they will now be available in an iOS 15.x release later this year.
